Matt Jackson shared his perspective on retirement, stating, “For me, once I’m done in-ring, I’ll never announce it, I’ll never be like, ‘Oh, I’m retired.’ I’ll just walk away and people will be like, ‘whatever happened to that guy?'” It seems that Matt prefers a more low-key exit from the wrestling scene.
On the other hand, Nick Jackson admitted that he likes to stay entertained and busy. He expressed his desire to run a small indie promotion, fantasizing about buying PWG from Super Dragon, the current owner. Nick even revealed that he had attempted to purchase PWG in the past, but Super Dragon turned down his offer.
It seems that the Bucks have a great deal of respect for Super Dragon. Matt Jackson shared a story about Super Dragon reaching out to him after a ladder match they had on an episode of AEW Dynamite. Super Dragon praised their performance and expressed his admiration for their ability to continue delivering exciting matches after all these years. Matt looked up to Super Dragon as a “weird immortal wrestling God.”
While the Young Bucks may have different plans for their post-wrestling careers, their dedication to the industry is evident.
