Challenge to Okada issued

Dontaku saw the NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Championship reign of Strong Style come to an end at the hands of Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii. Ten Narita’s quest to get revenge for being dominated by Kazuchika Okada in tag competition back in March saw the impetuous younger contender turned away, but another fresh face would soon confront the Rainmaker

Shota Umino would take the mic and declare that he had someone to team up with against Okada; that someone, via video message, turned out to be Jon Moxley. Mox vowed a return to Japanese competition for the first time in over three years at Dominion in Osaka Jo Hall; while Okada accepted the challenge, ridiculing ‘young boy’ Umino and ‘babysitter’ Moxley, questions still remained.

Moxley’s last match for NJPW in the US was last October. He will be in action in Long Beach at Resurgence May 21.
