John Cena Set to Return to WWE on September 1st

John Cena, the 16-time WWE World champion, is set to make his return to the WWE on the September 1st episode of SmackDown. The news was confirmed by FOX Sports, who reported that Cena will be appearing in Hershey, Pennsylvania for the highly anticipated episode.

This will be Cena’s second appearance this year, following his surprise appearance at Money in the Bank where he pitched WrestleMania London and delivered an Attitude Adjustment to Grayson Waller. Cena’s last match took place at WrestleMania 39, where he suffered a loss to Austin Theory.

According to reports, Cena’s upcoming return is not just limited to SmackDown. He will also be traveling to India for the WWE Superstar Spectacle show at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium on September 8th. This will be WWE’s first live event in India since 2017 and the first-ever live event held in Hyderabad. However, the event will not be televised in the United States.

Despite his successful Hollywood career, Cena remains loyal to the WWE and is committed to helping the company expand internationally. With WWE’s recent sale to Endeavor, international growth has become a priority, and Cena’s involvement in the Indian show is seen as a crucial step towards achieving that goal.
