Massive Ratings Surge for AEW Rampage’s Electrifying 2023 Fyter Fest & All In Preview!

AEW Rampage Viewership and Key Demo Rating for the 2023 Fyter Fest & All In Go-Home Episode

The latest episode of AEW Rampage, which served as the go-home show for Fyter Fest and All In, saw a decline in viewership and key demographic rating. According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the episode drew an average of 348,000 viewers on TNT. This is a decrease of 16.34% from the previous week’s taped episode, which garnered 416,000 viewers for the Fight for The Fallen special.

In terms of the key 18-49 demographic, the episode received a rating of 0.11. This represents a decline of 15.38% from the previous week’s episode, which had a rating of 0.13. The 0.11 rating translates to approximately 139,000 viewers in the 18-49 age group, a decrease of 17.75% compared to the previous week’s 169,000 viewers.

Rampage ranked #23 on cable TV for Friday night, as reported by spoilertv.com. This is a drop from its #9 ranking the previous week. The episode’s viewership and key demo rating were both below the 2022 averages. It had the tenth-lowest total audience of the year so far and tied for the fourth-lowest key demo rating of the year with five other episodes.

This decline in viewership and key demo rating is significant considering that the 2022 Fyter Fest Night 1 episode drew 435,000 viewers with a 0.14 rating in the key demographic, while Night 2 of the 2022 Fyter Fest show attracted 428,000 viewers and a 0.17 key demo rating on July 22 of last year. The most recent episode of Rampage experienced a 16.34% drop in viewership and a 15.38% decrease in the key demo rating compared to the previous week.

When compared to the same week in 2022, this week’s Rampage viewership was down by 19.25%, while the key demo rating remained the same. It is worth noting that this episode was a standard taped episode, unlike some of the previous episodes that were either live or had special themes.

The episode was taped the previous Saturday at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY, and featured several matches. The advertised lineup included AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy defending against Aaron Solo, AAA Latin American Champion QT Marshall defending against Gravity, Serpentico vs. Truth Magnum (which did not air), AEW TNT Champion Luchasaurus facing a local enhancement talent in a non-title match, and a tag team match between then-AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida and Britt Baker against new champion Saraya and Toni Storm, which served as the main event.

Despite the decline in viewership and key demo rating, AEW Rampage continues to be a significant part of AEW’s programming. As the company prepares for Fyter Fest and All In, it will be interesting to see how the events impact the viewership and ratings for future episodes of Rampage.
