The July 14 edition of AEW Rampage was taped on Wednesday from the SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. The event showcased some exciting matches and set the stage for upcoming battles. Here are the spoilers for the latest episode of AEW Rampage:
The opening match featured Dustin Rhodes and Keith Lee taking on the team of Angelo Parker and Matt Menard. Rhodes and Lee displayed their incredible teamwork and emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle.
In the following match, Taya Valkyrie faced off against Izzy McQueen. Valkyrie showcased her skills and secured a win. However, the post-match events were even more thrilling. AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm and Saraya made their way to the ring to confront Valkyrie. Valkyrie wasted no time and challenged Storm to a title match at Battle of the Belts. Storm accepted the challenge, promising to embarrass Valkyrie in front of her countrymen and family members.
Lance Archer and Trent Beretta clashed in a highly intense match. Archer, accompanied by Jake Roberts, proved to be a dominant force as he defeated Beretta. After the match, Archer didn’t hold back and laid out Chuck Taylor, who was supporting Trent. Archer then issued a challenge to AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy for a match at Battle of the Belts. Archer even went as far as threatening the Best Friends’ safety if Cassidy didn’t accept. Cassidy answered the call, but Roberts intervened, advising Archer against resorting to a chokeslam to win the title.
The action continued as Konosuke Takeshita squared off against Mentallo. Takeshita displayed his incredible athleticism and emerged victorious in a thrilling contest.
In the final match of the night, Willow Nightingale faced off against ROH World Women’s Champion Athena in a match to determine the finalist for the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. Nightingale showcased her skills and emerged triumphant, securing her spot in the tournament finals.
