According to PWInsider.com, WWE CEO Nick Khan sent out an email telling employees to work remotely on Friday as WWE will begin layoffs on Friday. Therefore, the layoffs can be taken care of privately with the employees being notified if they are being let go. At the moment, there is nothing to suggest that wrestlers will be released, though it is a possibility in the future.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is bound to happen when such a merger takes place. At the end of the day, the TKO Group does not need full staffs for everyone involved and can probably function about as well without nearly the same levels of expense. That can cut things down quite a bit and now we are going to see how the new company goes, which could be quite a bit different.
