Long Term: WWE Continues Protecting Surprise Name For Future Roman Reigns Feud

Family fight. The Bloodline has dominated the WWE landscape for the better part of two years now, though there are some issues that have begun creeping up. This week on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa defeated Sami Zayn in the show’s main event, continuing his streak of never being pinned or made to submit since he debuted on the main roster. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Sikoa is being kept strong and protected to save him for an eventual match with Roman Reigns. There is no word on when this would be taking place or how it would be set up.

Sikoa has done pretty well for himself. Check out his time on the main roster so far:

Opinion: That is certainly an interesting way to go, but the other noteworthy part is how long term planning can pay off. Assuming WWE had this plan from the start, they made sure to not have Sikoa lose a nothing match early on in his time on SmackDown. Having a seemingly unstoppable Sikoa take on Reigns down the line makes sense, as WWE could reap the benefits of its efforts.

What do you think of the idea? How would such a match go? Let us know in the comments below.
