All Elite Wrestling’s Rampage Results for August 18

Here’s a place to check results and comment along with a new episode of AEW Rampage, airing tonight at its 10 pm ET regular start time on TNT.

The latest edition of Rampage comes our way on tape from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Tonight’s show features a tag match with two of the four wrestlers in All In’s Women’s title match, with Toni Storm teaming with Outcasts teammate Ruby Soho to take on champ Hikaru Shida & her partner Skye Blue. Plus, we’ll hear from another person in the 4Way at Wembley Stadium, Dr. Britt Baker.

Also on the card: Rey Fenix warms up for Stadium Stampede by facing Komander, ROH Tag champs Aussie Open take on Ethan Page & Brother Zay, and more!

Rampage kicks off with Rey Fenix vs. Komander. Both men counter each other with rapid fire pin attempts in the early going. Komander avoids the running tightrope kick attempt and comes back with a diving hurricanrana. Fenix is in the driver’s seat with a top rope stomp going into the commercial break. Komander spectacularly reverses a powerbomb into a hurricanrana later in the fight, with Fenix taking a nasty bump on the way down. Even so, Fenix manages to recover and catch Komander’s backflip into a rolling cutter for a near fall. Fenix hits the running tightrope punt this time. Komander returns fire with a crucifix bomb for a near fall. Rey sends Komander down to the mat with a spinning roundhouse kick. Komander somehow lands a springboard Canadian destroyer and then a shooting star press off the tightrope walk for a near fall. Komander misses a 450 splash. Fenix finally puts Komander away with a spinning muscle buster type move, sending Komander crashing down to the mat for the pin.

Aussie Open defeat Ethan Page & Brother Zay to retain the ROH world tag team titles. The champs rush Zay and Page at the outset. Zay is double teamed and takes a beating in the early going. Zay eventually fights them off and makes the tag to Page. Ethan slams Kyle Fletcher but can’t keep him down for the three count. Aussie Open catches the babyfaces in the air and runs their backs into each other as we go to commercial break. Zay is running wild on the heels shortly after the break. He takes out Mark Davis with a moonsault on the outside and then Fletcher with a springboard crossbody on the inside. Aussie Open withstand his offense and take over with their tandem offense. They neutralize Page and then take out Zay with their finisher for the three count.

Sammy Guevara defeats Jon Cruz. They shake hands to begin the fight. Sammy takes Cruz down with a corkscrew dropkick. He follows that up with a dive over the top rope that hits its mark. Guevara finishes off this jobber with the GTH.
