AEW COLLISION RESULTS FOR DEC. 9

Collision kicks off with quick pre-taped promos from Ethan Page, Kenny Omega, Bryan Danielson, Andrade El Idolo / CJ Perry, Claudio Castagnoli, and Eddie Kingston hyping up their matches for tonight.
Continental Classic tournament: Eddie Kingston defeats Claudio Castagnoli. Both guys go for their big moves early on, with Eddie kicking out of a pin attempt after a Neutralizer. Claudio locks in the giant swing and follows it up with a sharpshooter. Claudio missile dropkicks Eddie in the corner. Eddie is dazed and blinking his eyes as Claudio smashes him down to the mat with a lariat. Kingston gets caught in a superplex for another near fall. Later on, Eddie fires up and lays in multiple chops as well as two exploder suplexes for a two count. Claudio is reeling following more chops, and Kingston takes him down with a lariat for a near fall. Claudio comes back with a powerbomb and running uppercut. Each man dodges the other’s finishing move. They exchange blows in the middle of the ring. Eddie catches Claudio with two spinning backfists, but Claudio kicks out of the pin! Eddie hits one more spinning backfist. He goes for a follow-up powerbomb, but Claudio reverses it into a pin attempt. Eddie rolls the other way with it and pins Claudio down for three.
Jon Moxley cuts a promo on Swerve Strickland ahead of their Continental Classic match next week on Dynamite. Moxley says Swerve is in way over his head and it will be a long night for him.
Renee Paquette tries to interview FTW Champion HOOK backstage. ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta interrupts it right away. HOOK calls him out for cheating against Shibata to win the belt. Yuta is tired of dealing with HOOK and challenges him to a fight under FTW rules.
