Kris Statlander Reveals Shocking Details Behind Viral AEW Rampage Promo Featuring Renee Paquette

Kris Statlander, the reigning TBS Champion in AEW, recently spoke about her viral moment of squatting Renee Paquette during a promo on the August 4th edition of AEW Rampage. In an exclusive interview with Wrestling Headlines, Statlander shared some insight into how the moment came to be.

According to Statlander, the decision to squat Paquette was not spur of the moment. She wanted to do something different for her promo and approached Paquette beforehand to ask if she would be comfortable with it. Paquette agreed, and they went ahead with the idea. The reaction from the audience was exactly what Statlander had hoped for, and she expressed her satisfaction with how it turned out.

However, Statlander emphasized that she is a professional and wouldn’t attempt such a stunt if she couldn’t handle it. She made it clear that she is physically capable, stating, “No, I am a professional. I’m so jacked, I wouldn’t squat someone for a promo if I couldn’t handle it.”

Last night on AEW Dynamite, Statlander successfully defended her TBS title against Emi Sakura in a thrilling match held in Indianapolis.

During the media scrum, Statlander also revealed some of her personal favorite matches that she has had under the AEW banner. To find out which matches she named, you can click here.
