Kevin Owens, the current reigning undisputed tag champion, recently spoke about his uncertain future in professional wrestling. In an interview with the Toronto Sun, Owens expressed his uncertainty about how long he will continue to compete in the ring. Despite his uncertainty, Owens affirmed his commitment to the WWE.
Owens admitted that his previous estimation of wrestling for another five to ten years may no longer hold true. He stated, “I look at things and I don’t know where I stand going beyond the next year and a half.” While he knows he wants to be involved in wrestling and remain with the WWE, Owens is unsure of his exact role. He pondered, “Maybe it’s still in the ring, maybe it’s not. I don’t know.”
Despite his uncertainty about the future, Owens is determined to make the most of his time in the ring. He expressed his desire to focus on enjoying every moment and creating memorable experiences for the fans. Owens said, “There’s not really a worry about winning a title or main-eventing WrestleMania or any of that stuff anymore because I’ve been so blessed and I’ve gotten to do all of that. So I just want to have fun and I want to give people fun times to remember me by.”
While Owens acknowledged the possibility of wrestling for another decade, he emphasized that his current mindset is to cherish the next year and a half. He stated, “My thought process right now is just to try to enjoy the next year and a half as much as I possibly can because I don’t know what’s on the other side. That’s really all I’m worrying about.”
The uncertainty surrounding Owens’ future in professional wrestling has sparked speculation among fans and industry insiders. However, it is clear that Owens remains committed to the WWE and is determined to make the most of his time in the ring.
