Some places do power rankings. Here at Cageside, we do a stock report.
In this weekly series, we identify three Superstars (or groups of Superstars) who are on their way up, and three that are moving in the opposite direction. After a busy week that included Bianca Belair defeating Kairi Sane, Shinsuke Nakamura spitting red mist in Cody Rhodes’ face, and CM Punk’s return promo on Raw, a lot of fortunes were changed.
With that in mind, let’s see whose stock decreased the most this week:
Stock Down #3: Zoey Stark
After losing to Rhea Ripley at Survivor Series, Stark did the job for Nia Jax on Raw. It would appear that Zoey is being cycled out of the championship mix in favor of Jax, and will have to find a way to stand out from all the other women on the roster heading into the Royal Rumble match.
Stock Down #2: Joaquin Wilde
I held out some hope for Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro after they were attacked by Santos Escobar a few weeks ago, thinking they might come to their senses and realize they need to stick by Escobar’s side to remain relevant. But that’s not happening for now, as Joaquin’s role this week was to serve as fodder for Santos in a singles match until the real star (Dragon Lee) could run off the bad guy.
Stock Down #1: Indus Sher
Indus Sher had their first match on Raw since June and were defeated in Tag Team Turmoil without picking up any wins along the way. There were potentially five other teams that WWE could have given Indus Sher a fall over, and the fact that they didn’t even beat one of them doesn’t bode well at all for their future push.
Now let’s see whose stock increased the most this week:
Stock Up #3: Kevin Owens
Owens confronted that YouTube douchebag Logan Paul on SmackDown last night, called him an insufferable jackass, and let it be known that he plans to end our nightmare by beating Logan’s ass and taking the United States title away from him. Owens backed up those words by defeating Grayson Waller in a singles match.
KO is one of the only babyfaces entered into the upcoming tournament to decide Logan’s first challenger for the gold, so he currently looks like the favorite to go all the way and get his hands on Paul.
Stock Up #2: The Creed Brothers
The Creeds are off to a strong start on the main roster, first defeating Alpha Academy and DIY in separate matches in early November, before capping the month off with a win in Tag Team
