Jungle Boy Reveals the Surprising Reason Behind Parting Ways with Beloved ‘Tarzan Boy’ Theme Song

Jungle Boy Jack Perry of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has made a shocking announcement regarding his theme song. In an interview with RJ City on Hey (EW!), Perry revealed that he has decided to ditch his beloved entrance music, “Tarzan Boy” by Baltimora. The decision has left fans wondering why the change and what his new theme song will be.

Perry, who was working in a heel character during the interview, expressed his frustration with the “Tarzan Boy” theme song. He admitted that he had grown tired of it and found it embarrassing as a grown man. Perry explained, “It’s pretty embarrassing for me as a grown man now walking through the airport and some fucking buffoon over here just starts singing out the song and waving his hands. And I have to acknowledge it, otherwise, it’s mean. It’s just like, at this point, it’s like, dude, let’s leave it alone.”

When asked about the theory that wrestling fans enjoy anything that gives them a reaction, even if it’s negative, Perry agreed and stated, “I think there’s a reason those guys were one-hit wonders, and I think they should be thanking me for everything I did for the song. So, you’re welcome.”

As for his new theme song, Perry revealed that he is now using Beethoven’s Symphony #5, not the Lou Bega version. He shared that he wanted to set a precedent in AEW by having an expensive piece of music as his theme song. Perry said, “I think I may have been the first person in AEW to have a real expensive song as their song. And when it came time to switch it, pretty much what it came down to is, I said, ‘Tony (Khan), I want the most expensive piece of music that you can find.’ And he told me, he assured me, that that was it. So, we went for it.”

While Perry’s decision to change his theme song may disappoint some fans who enjoyed the catchy “Tarzan Boy,” it showcases his commitment to evolving his character and keeping things fresh. It will be interesting to see how the new theme song adds to his persona and entrances in future AEW events.
