Jon Moxley and Homicide to team up against El Desperado and a partner at NJPW Strong Independence Day in Tokyo. The challenge was issued by El Desperado after working GCW’s Tournament of Survival, and Moxley responded to it in a video released by NJPW. The match will take place on July 4 and July 5 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, and it will be the second time Moxley and Homicide will team up. NJPW has not confirmed which night of Independence Day will feature the match. Moxley and Desperado were referring to their match at NJPW Music City Mayhem on July 30, 2022, in Nashville, which Moxley won via referee decision.
