Job Description: Here Are The Details On William Regal’s New WWE Role

He has a job. There are all kinds of people who work together to make a wrestling show work. While you see many of them in front of the camera, there are several who work backstage and handle several responsibilities that can help make a show work that much more smoothly. Now we know a bit more about one of the most important names backstage in WWE.

Earlier this year, William Regal returned to WWE and was named the Vice President of Global Talent Development. According to PWInsider.com, Regal has several responsibilities with WWE. This includes taking notes on every match at a television taping and talking to the wrestlers about how to make their matches better, including being “more realistic from an in-ring perspective”. Regal also works with the wrestlers on their selling and physicality.

Opinion: This is the kind of job that seems tailor made for Regal, who has decades of experience, along with the respect of almost everyone in the industry. Regal is someone who could do all kinds of good things for the roster going forward and it is great for WWE to have him back. Even if Regal is not appearing on television, at least he is doing what helps WWE more than almost anything else.
