Is the WWE and FOX Partnership on the Verge of Collapse?

FOX Sports has made the decision to shut down their popular Out of Character podcast, which has been covering WWE and regularly featuring WWE Superstars as guests. The sudden cancellation has left fans wondering about the future of the WWE – FOX relationship.

While the reason behind FOX’s decision to end the podcast remains unknown, industry insiders speculate that it could be an indication of the WWE – FOX relationship winding down. In recent months, the Out of Character podcast has been the sole ancillary programming between the two entities, with no other scheduled one-hour weekend TV specials in the near future.

Out of Character made its debut on March 29, 2021, with Ryan Satin as the host. The first guest on the podcast was WWE Hall of Famer Edge, and since then, it has featured a total of 126 interviews. The most recent guest on the show was Ilja Dragunov.

Despite the cancellation news, there is still a glimmer of hope for fans. In a tweet from WWE on FOX, it was announced that Cathy Kelley will join Ryan Satin for a special in-person chat, which leaves fans speculating if this will be the final episode or if there is a chance for the podcast to continue.
