GUNTHER’s Jaw-Dropping WWE Intercontinental Title Reign Proves He’s the True Title Maker

GUNTHER, the current WWE Intercontinental Champion, is on the verge of making history with his title reign. In a recent interview, he expressed his immense pride in his accomplishments and discussed his philosophy on the significance of the title.

During a conversation with Sam Roberts on NotSam Wrestling, GUNTHER emphasized that it’s not the title that defines a wrestler, but rather the wrestler who elevates the title. He has carried this mindset into his current Intercontinental Championship reign, making it the best run possible.

“It makes me very proud. It was the same with the NXT UK Title before. It was something where, okay, when I’m able to win a title, I’m going to make it the best run I possibly can make it. The one thing I believe in is that the title doesn’t make the man, it’s the man that makes the title. I really believe in that,” GUNTHER stated.

Furthermore, GUNTHER highlighted that he is most proud of staying true to himself throughout his journey towards rewriting history. He never compromised on his values or changed his approach.

“Obviously, it makes me very proud because, like I said, when I was a child I watched Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart, and whoever being the Intercontinental Champion. That I can be on some sort of list of whatever they have going on with the longest reigns and something with those guys. That’s absolutely crazy, and I’m doing it my way. That’s the fact that makes me the most proud. I adapted, I learned, I evolved, but I never changed what I think was right for me to do. That’s the thing that makes me proud,” GUNTHER explained.

In a recent tweet, GUNTHER shared his excitement about attending his first-ever NFL game. He attended a pre-season match between the Cleveland Browns and the 2022 NFC East Champion Philadelphia Eagles. You can read more about his experience here.

With each passing day, GUNTHER’s historic WWE Intercontinental title reign draws closer to a significant milestone. His pride in his accomplishments reflects his belief that it is the wrestler who brings prestige to the title, not the other way around.
