Get ready for the ultimate showdown: MJF & Cole’s Kangaroo Kick is a must-see but won’t go the distance

TBS Dynamite continued to showcase the electric duo of Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) and Adam Cole, collectively known as Better Than You BAY BAY, in the latest episode of Fight for the Fallen on August 16. The show featured two segments highlighting the chemistry and charisma of these two rising stars.

The first segment was a pre-taped comedy bit that focused on their match against Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis of Aussie Open at the All In pre-show. In the video, MJF and Cole embarked on a scouting trip to Outback Steakhouse, followed by a hilarious rejection of Cole’s Crocodile Dundee training session. Instead, MJF opted to work on his new wildlife video-inspired move.

Following the comedy bit, Tony Khan, the AEW World Champ, scolds them for practicing their existing finisher, possibly in response to calls for him to address backstage drama. The segment ends with a plug for the upcoming match against Aussie Open at AEW All In Zero Hour.

In the second segment, both MJF and Cole delivered passionate babyface promos in the ring. They expressed their excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to wrestle at Wembley Stadium and their deep respect for their partner/opponent. However, both men made it clear that the AEW World Championship, which will be on the line in their main event match, is their top priority.

Before the tension could escalate further, Aussie Open launched a surprise attack. Davis and Fletcher managed to evade the Kangaroo Kick and the Double Clothesline, leaving Cole contemplating whether to send a superkick message to his best friend and the reigning champion, MJF.

It is worth noting that MJF seems to be embracing his face character, affectionately referred to as “Our Scumbag,” while Cole has the support of Roderick Strong and The Kingdom, hinting at a potential heel turn. Speculation suggests that Friedman may lose his championship to solidify his status as a fan favorite and set up a future rivalry with CM Punk.
