Samuray Del Sol Makes His IMPACT Wrestling Debut

Get ready for an action-packed episode of IMPACT! this Thursday at 8/7c on AXS TV and 8:30pm ET on YouTube for IMPACT Insiders. This week, we have a thrilling lineup of matches and debuts that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

One of the most highly anticipated debuts is that of Samuray Del Sol. Known around the world for his breathtaking in-ring offense, Del Sol will step into the IMPACT Wrestling ring for the first time ever. He will team up with two other masked marvels, Laredo Kid and Black Taurus, in a six-man tag team match. Their opponents will be the treacherous trio of Bully Ray, Moose, and Brian Myers. As Bully, Moose, and Myers prepare for their Emergence 8-man war against IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley, Josh Alexander, Chris Sabin, and KUSHIDA, the action is sure to be fast and furious.

In addition to Del Sol’s debut, we will also see the continuation of the Number 1 Contenders Tag Team Tournament. Last week, the Rascalz advanced to the next round after Trey Miguel blinded Jonathan Gresham with his signature spray paint. This week, the team of Rich Swann and Sami Callihan will battle Ace Austin and Chris Bey of ABC to determine who will face the Rascalz in the finals. With the current-reigning IMPACT World Tag Team Champions, SUBCULTURE, waiting in the wings at Emergence, the stakes are high.

Another match to watch out for is the rematch between KUSHIDA and Mike Bailey. At Slammiversary, KUSHIDA overcame five other competitors in the high-risk, high-wire spectacle known as Ultimate X to earn a future opportunity at the X-Division Championship. One of his opponents in that match was the surging Mike Bailey, who continues to make waves with his innovative moveset. This Thursday, KUSHIDA and Bailey will go head-to-head once again, and fans can expect a thrilling encounter.

But that’s not all. Alisha Edwards will face off against Jody Threat in a singles competition. Alisha claims to have sent Traci Brooks packing from IMPACT Wrestling, but the truth is far from that. Following a backstage brawl between the two Knockouts, Brooks left on her own accord when her husband, Frankie Kazarian, convinced her that Alisha was not worth her time. Yet Alisha continued to brag. Now, Jody Threat, who has made it her mission to stand up to locker room bullies, will confront Alisha in the ring.

And finally, we have a match between Dirty Dango and Bhupinder Gujjar. Just a few weeks ago, Alpha Bravo, formerly John E, donned a SWAT uniform to assist Dirty Dango in defeating Director of Authority Santino Marella. But now, Dango must face the wrath of a poised Bhupinder Gujjar. In a digital exclusive clip, Gujjar vowed to teach Dango a lesson he’ll never forget. With Alpha Bravo lurking at ringside, the odds may be stacked against Dango.
