Former WWE Star Jeff Jarrett Seeks Trademark for Heat in the Wrestling World

AEW’s Jeff Jarrett Files to Trademark “Heat”

Jeff Jarrett, who is currently working for AEW as an in-ring talent and Director of Business Development, has filed to trademark the term “Heat.” Records from the USPTO (United States Patent & Trademark Office) show that the filing was made on June 1, 2021, for general pro wrestling and entertainment use. The trademark filing includes various entertainment services such as wrestling contests, exhibitions, and performances, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer, among others.

It is interesting to note that the term “Heat” is a common term in professional wrestling, used to describe a wrestler or team who is purposely generating negative reactions from the audience to generate interest and build a storyline. However, it is unclear how Jarrett intends to use the trademark.

Jarrett has had a long and successful career in the professional wrestling industry, working for various promotions such as WWE, WCW, and TNA. He is also the founder of Global Force Wrestling, which was later acquired by Impact Wrestling.

As of now, there is no information on how AEW plans to use the “Heat” trademark. However, it is safe to assume that the trademark will be used to enhance the promotion’s storylines and characters.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time a professional wrestler has filed for a trademark. WWE Superstar Aleister Black recently filed to trademark his ring name, while WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has trademarked his “Can you dig it, sucka?” catchphrase.
