Exclusive: Nick Aldis Reveals Behind-the-Scenes WWE Experience as Producer, Opens Up About Contract Situation

Nick Aldis Discusses Shadowing as WWE Producer and Current Contract Status

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Nick Aldis opened up about his role as a producer with WWE and clarified his current contract status. Aldis revealed that he has been shadowing producers in WWE and it is currently a handshake agreement between himself and the company.

“They (WWE) just invited me to come and see how everything works and shadow as a producer,” Aldis explained. “I’ve worn a lot of hats behind the scenes in my last place, so it’s not a completely new situation for me. But, there’s pro wrestling, and then there’s WWE. Just taking in the sheer volume of the operation and the number of people involved has been the basis of my time so far. It’s all very much a sort of handshake situation at the moment, very much a ‘Hey, why don’t you come in and see how all this works? See if you like it.’ They’ve been very accommodating and as far as they’ve said, it’s about whether I like it. Where that goes, I don’t know, and I’m okay with that.”

Addressing the speculation surrounding his wrestling career, Aldis emphasized that he can still wrestle despite taking on the producer role. He mentioned upcoming wrestling dates and expressed frustration over the assumptions made about his in-ring status.

“The timing of pulling out of dates due to injury when my trial run as a WWE producer was starting may have caused some confusion,” Aldis stated. “But that’s not the case. I can still wrestle 100 percent. I have a few days in September scheduled for wrestling, including a show in Canada and another in Ohio with Mickie James. I’ve also committed to wrestling for Bret Hart’s son’s promotion in Calgary. That’s the frustrating part – when you try something new and people jump to conclusions.”

It is clear that Aldis is enjoying his time shadowing producers in WWE and appreciates the opportunity to gain insight into the inner workings of the company. However, he remains committed to his wrestling career and has upcoming dates booked to showcase his in-ring skills.
