Exclusive: Impact Wrestling Makes Joe Hendry Lucrative Offer After Epic Showdown with Jason Hotch

Joe Hendry recently shared some interesting insights about his return to IMPACT Wrestling in 2022. In a recent interview on the Wrestling Is Life Is Wrestling podcast with host Cody Deaner, the former Digital Media Champion revealed that he initially signed a short-term deal with his old promotion. However, after his first match back against Jason Hotch, IMPACT offered him a long-term contract on the spot.

Hendry had high praise for Hotch, stating, “I have to put over, I can’t put over Jason Hotch enough. He is such a Goddamn good worker and he made me look like a million bucks.” The match took place the night after the Bound For Glory pay-per-view, adding to its significance. Hendry also mentioned that Deaner served as his agent for the match.

Reflecting on his relationship with Deaner, Hendry said, “The first meaningful interaction (between myself & Deaner) is when you agented my first match in IMPACT, right? Am I right in saying that? You have a trait that I like a lot that not a lot of people have, which when you are asked a question or when you are given a piece of information, most people just talk whereas you go, ‘Mhm,’ and you’re not afraid to pause, think and then answer. So that’s a very good trait. That’s something I noticed.”

Joe Hendry’s reign as the IMPACT Digital Media Champion came to an end at Slammiversary 2023 when he dropped the title to Kenny King.
