After the match, everyone returned to the backstage Gorilla Position, where the argument ensued. PWInsider provided a follow-up report, stating that a source later contacted them to clarify that the argument was primarily a result of last-minute changes to the plans for the main event. The source explained that there were significant modifications made, even down to the timing of the ring entrances. When things did not go smoothly in the ring, it exacerbated the existing issues. The source further expressed that the changes likely disrupted the flow of the match, leading to a less seamless performance.
The same source downplayed the significance of the argument, stating that they do not anticipate it causing ongoing frustration. They attributed the heated exchange to the current state of WWE’s business, which is thriving. With everyone eager to contribute to the company’s success, disagreements over the best course of action for various segments and matches are bound to arise, especially when multiple top stars are involved simultaneously.
