The August 18 edition of AEW Rampage, titled Fight for The Fallen, was taped on Wednesday at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The show featured several exciting matches and moments that left the audience buzzing. Here are the spoilers:
The opening match saw Rey Fenix take on Komander. It was an incredible match that showcased the talents of both wrestlers. Fenix emerged victorious and showed great sportsmanship by taking off his mask and giving it to Komander as a sign of respect. The emotional moment received a standing ovation from the crowd. This match is being hailed as one of the best in Rampage history and one of AEW’s finest moments.
In the next match, ROH World Tag Team Champions Aussie Open successfully defended their titles against Isiah Kassidy and Ethan Page. The match was action-packed and showcased the chemistry between the two teams.
Sammy Guevara took on Jon Cruz in a singles match. Guevara proved why he is considered one of the rising stars in AEW as he secured a victory over Cruz.
The main event featured AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida teaming up with Skye Blue to take on Toni Storm and Ruby Soho. The match was highly competitive, with all four women displaying their incredible wrestling skills. In the end, Shida pinned Soho to secure the victory for her team. However, the celebration was short-lived as The Outcasts attacked Shida after the match. Thankfully, Britt Baker came to the rescue and a brawl ensued between Shida, Storm, Baker, and Saraya. This intense confrontation sets the stage for an explosive Fatal 4-Way match in the future.
