Eric Bischoff Believes Logan Paul Is Better Than 98% Of Current Wrestling Rosters: “He’s F***ing Awesome”

Wrestling fans were left in awe after Logan Paul’s impressive performance at SummerSlam 2023. And it seems that Paul has gained a new fan in the wrestling world – none other than WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW President, Eric Bischoff.
In a recent episode of his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff praised Paul for his incredible skills and performance in his victory over Ricochet. Bischoff didn’t hold back in expressing his admiration for the YouTube star turned professional wrestler.
Bischoff addressed the criticism of fans who label Paul as an “outsider” in the wrestling industry, dismissing it as a “juvenile, ignorant perspective.” He went on to describe Paul as one of the most impressive sports entertainers to emerge in the last 20 years.
“Logan Paul is, in my opinion, one of the most impressive sports entertainers, professional wrestlers, whatever you want to call them, to come down the pike in the last 20 years,” Bischoff said. “This guy, in a matter of, he’s been in the wrestling business for what? Three years, maybe? He puts on a clinic for probably 90% of the roster in any company in the country. 100% of the roster in most cases. Probably 90% of the roster even in the WWE.”
Bischoff praised Paul’s timing, psychology, execution, and feel for the audience. He commended the match between Paul and Ricochet for its high quality, psychology, athleticism, and impeccable timing. According to Bischoff, the match allowed the audience to fully absorb and appreciate the action, something he believes is often missing in many matches.
While Bischoff admitted he wasn’t a big fan of the finish involving brass knucks, he acknowledged that even that aspect was executed perfectly. He praised Paul’s ability to make the punch with the brass knucks look real and flawless. Bischoff had nothing but praise for both Paul and Ricochet, acknowledging the role Ricochet played in making Paul look like a superstar.
“I’m probably not giving Ricochet enough credit because it takes a superstar to make somebody else look like a superstar. Ricochet did that. I’m not sure that Logan Paul could have had that great of a match with somebody that didn’t have the skill and the ability of a Ricochet,” Bischoff said. “But absolutely, this is going to catapult Ricochet’s career, no doubt.”
With his glowing endorsement of Paul, Bischoff went as far as to say that Paul is better than 98% of the active wrestling industry. He believes that Paul’s performance at SummerSlam will undoubtedly have a positive impact on Ricochet’s career.
It’s clear that Eric Bischoff is a big fan of Logan Paul and his abilities in the wrestling ring. Whether fans agree with Bischoff’s assessment or not, there’s no denying the attention and buzz that Paul has brought to the wrestling world.
