Edge’s WWE Contract Set to Expire After Friday’s SmackDown Showdown – Future Uncertain!

WWE Hall of Famer Edge is set to face off against Sheamus on tomorrow’s edition of SmackDown in Toronto, Canada. This highly-anticipated match has generated a lot of buzz among wrestling fans, as it could potentially be Edge’s last match on his current WWE contract.

In a recent interview with ET Canada, Edge addressed rumors about his retirement and shed some light on his future in the wrestling industry. When asked about his plans after the match with Sheamus, Edge admitted that he doesn’t have a clear answer.

“Here’s what I can honestly say, and this isn’t the answer everyone wants. I truly don’t know. I really, really, with 100% truth can say I don’t know,” Edge said. “That’s strange for me, but I don’t. I really don’t. I’ve put some thought into it, but not a lot. This is the last match on my current contract.”

The former multi-time world champion also opened up about the challenges he faces as he approaches 50 years old. Edge revealed that he now experiences anxiety when performing and that the “dream gig” isn’t as easy as it used to be.

“I don’t know. I honestly don’t know. I probably won’t know until I get to the locker room that night and decompress, let all the anxiety and tension that I never used to have before I performed, I have now,” Edge explained. “That’s strange for me and makes it that much harder to do this. I’m going to be 50 in October. It’s not easy anymore. Before, what I used to take for granted to be able to do, now, there is a process and a fallout. There’s a lot. It’s the dream gig, but it’s getting really hard.”

Edge recently celebrated his 25-year anniversary with WWE, making him one of the longest-tenured performers in the company’s history. Throughout his career, he has delivered countless memorable moments and has solidified his place as one of the all-time greats.

As for what the future holds for Edge, only time will tell. Fans will have to tune in to tomorrow’s SmackDown to witness his clash with Sheamus and potentially witness the end of an era.
