Dragon Lee Steps in for Wes Lee in North American Title Showdown at Deadline

During this week’s episode of NXT television, Wes Lee showed up walking with a crutch. The commentary team seemed shocked by this, and there was no word of anything being wrong going into this week’s show. What’s more it’s just days before he was scheduled to challenge Dominik Mysterio for the North American championship at Deadline.

That won’t be happening now.

Instead, a tearful Lee announced he doesn’t have a lot of feeling in his leg and he’s in a lot of pain. He’ll need surgery and plenty of rest. So, for now, he’ll be taking off to take care of himself.

“Let’s just say — for now, I’ll see ya later.”

He cued up Rey Mysterio, who said he would also be at Deadline to support the man who will be standing in for Wes — Dragon Lee.
