Dragon Lee Wins North American Title at NXT Deadline 2023 Against Dominik Mysterio

In a surprising turn of events, Dragon Lee emerged victorious against Dominik Mysterio at the NXT Deadline 2023 event in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Originally scheduled to face Wes Lee, Dominik’s plans were altered due to an unfortunate back injury. Dragon Lee was selected as the replacement, with Rey Mysterio, still recovering from his own injury, choosing to accompany him to the ring.
Commentary made note of the absence of The Judgment Day and other potential allies for Dominik, including Rhea Ripley, who the crowd eagerly anticipated. However, Ripley failed to make an appearance, leaving Dominik to face Dragon Lee alone.
Dragon Lee showcased his incredible skills and put on a spectacular performance, as he has been doing consistently in recent weeks. He took Dominik Mysterio to the limit and, without any outside interference, secured a clean victory in the center of the ring.
While Dragon Lee has now made his way to SmackDown, it seems he will be staying in NXT a little while longer to defend his newly won North American Championship.
