Dana White’s Revealing Insight on Ronda Rousey’s Potential UFC Comeback and Her Satisfaction with Her Legacy

UFC President Dana White has confirmed that former UFC and WWE champion Ronda Rousey will not be making a return to the Octagon. This news has put an end to the speculation surrounding Rousey’s potential comeback to mixed martial arts.

Rousey, who was the first female inductee into the UFC Hall of Fame, recently concluded her stint with WWE after her loss to Shayna Baszler in the MMA Rules match at SummerSlam. There have been rumors circulating about a possible return to MMA for Rousey at UFC 300 in the Spring of 2024.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated at UFC 292, White shut down the rumors, stating, “There’s no shot. She’s accomplished everything she set out to do.” White further confirmed that Rousey is satisfied with the legacy she has built in both UFC and WWE.

White acknowledged Rousey’s achievements, saying, “Her dream was to win a UFC championship, then win a WWE championship, and she’s done it. Now she’s starting a family. Ronda has made so much money, and she’s still making a lot of money in sponsorships.”

Rousey left the UFC with a remarkable MMA record of 12 wins and 2 losses. Her two losses came in her final two fights with the UFC, where she dropped the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November 2015, and came up short against Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in December 2016.

During her time in MMA, Rousey achieved numerous accolades, including becoming the inaugural UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, the first female UFC Champion, the first female UFC Hall of Famer, and the first Olympic medalist to win a UFC Title, among others.

Although Rousey’s fans may be disappointed by the news of her retirement from the Octagon, they can take solace in the fact that she has left an indelible mark on the sport. Her contributions to women’s MMA and her crossover success in WWE have solidified her status as one of the most influential figures in combat sports.
