Dakota Kai Drops Major Injury Update, Reveals Shocking Timeline for Return to the Ring

Dakoa Kai, a member of the Damage CTRL faction, has provided an update on her injury recovery. Since tearing her ACL in May, Kai has been on the sidelines, but she recently shared that she will not be ready to return to the ring until next year. This announcement was made during a recent Twitch stream.

Kai addressed the skepticism surrounding her injury, stating, “I do think it’s funny that a lot of people are like, ‘she’s not injured at all. Look at her walking around.’ ACL injury, I haven’t even learned how to start running and jumping again yet. I think I’m going to start running this week.” She emphasized the challenges of ACL recovery, particularly for athletes who heavily rely on their legs. Kai added, “If I were a desk worker, I’d be back at work. Because it’s wrestling, I won’t be cleared until January.”

While Kai is focused on her recovery, her partners in Damage CTRL have been staying busy. IYO SKY, in particular, made a significant impact by cashing in her Money In The Bank briefcase and capturing the women’s title at SummerSlam. Despite Sky’s success, Bayley, another member of Damage CTRL, has remained loyal to the group’s shared accomplishments.
