CM Punk Fires Shots at Adam Page Following Epic AEW Clash

AEW “Real” World Champion CM Punk continued to stir the pot with Adam Page following their clash at AEW Collision in Greensboro, NC. The main event of Collision saw The House of Black successfully defend their AEW World Trios Titles against Punk and AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR. After the event, Punk took to the mic and delivered a scathing promo aimed at Hangman Page.

Punk’s comments were triggered by a fan sign that read “Carolina Is Hangman Country.” He recounted a recent visit to a local store where he noticed an abundance of unsold Hangman action figures, referring to Page as a “peg warmer.” In contrast, Punk boasted about his ability to move merchandise, boost ratings, and sell toys, emphasizing his status as a top draw in the industry.

Punk also had a message for those who claim to be the heart, soul, and spirit of AEW. While he stumbled over his reference to the GTS (Go To Sleep), he made it clear that those individuals are not the driving force behind the company’s success. He also expressed frustration with The House of Black, as they disregarded his request to avoid using chops during the match.

Dax Harwood, one-half of FTR, acknowledged their defeat but took the opportunity to reflect on his 19-year journey in professional wrestling. Despite his physical appearance and lack of abs, Harwood encouraged fans to pursue their dreams, using his own success as proof that anything is possible.

CM Punk, accompanied by FTR, then addressed the crowd, playfully mocking the fan who appeared upset. Cash Wheeler defended the fan, jokingly attributing his anger to being a ginger. The trio expressed gratitude towards the fans, acknowledging the support they received and the record-breaking ticket sales for the event.

Wheeler also took a moment to pay tribute to his late uncle, a dedicated fan who had attended their shows in the Greensboro area. The emotional dedication was met with appreciation from the crowd, highlighting the personal connection between wrestlers and their fans.

The post-show promo concluded with FTR bidding farewell to the audience, signing off as the “Top Guys Out.”
