Business As Usual? Update On WWE Teasing Big Stable Reunion

So much for that. Stables have been around in WWE for a very long time now and they still work for a reason. Putting wrestlers together into a group allows them to accomplish a goal at the same time while sharing television time. They can also help boost someone’s profile, as stars occasionally break out of a stable. Now though, one stable reunion seems to have been dropped entirely.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: There’s A Plan: Important Detail On Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch

Over the last few months, WWE has teased a reunion of the Hurt Business, which dominated Monday Night Raw in 2020-2021. This included former leader MVP talking to the other former members, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander and Bobby Lashley. However, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, the idea of a reunion has been “totally dropped”, with MVP, Benjamin and Alexander not appearing regularly in several weeks. There is no word on why the plans were dropped.

The team was great in its time. Check out the Hurt Business in action:

Opinion: This is kind of a disappointment as the Hurt business felt like it had all kinds of potential. The team looked great, worked well together and had success. What more could you want in a team on a show that could use them? If nothing else, it would be nice for Lashley to have more of a direction, as he has been kind of flailing around for the last few months.
