It’s official. We are less than two weeks away from Summerslam and you can see most of the card from here. With most of the matches already likely announced, there are only so many spots left to be filled. WWE has teased more than a few extra matches for the show and now one of them has been made official, even if it might not be your traditional match when everything takes place.

WWE has officially announced that Ronda Rousey will face Shayna Baszler at Summerslam. This match was unofficially made in recent weeks, with the two agreeing to a fight. There is no word on any stipulations or special rules for the match. Baszler turned on Rousey and split up their team at Money In The Bank. This will be the first singles match the two have ever had.

Opinion: This is one of those matches where you know it is coming and then finally get around to the match actually being announced. Rousey is pretty clearly on the way out of WWE and wants to put Baszler over on the way out. That could make for one heck of a fight as they Rousey leaves and that very well could be the big boost that Baszler has needed for years.
