Team 3D to Return at Impact 1000 Taping

Impact Wrestling Hall of Famers Team 3D, also known as The Dudley Boyz, are set to make their return to the ring together at the upcoming Impact 1000 taping. The announcement was made by Impact Wrestling, revealing that Bully Ray and D-Von will reunite for the Impact 1000 episode and compete in a tag team match against two yet-to-be-announced opponents.

This will be the first standard tag team match for Team 3D since their victory over Neville (PAC) and current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion Sami Zayn at the SummerSlam 2016 pre-show. Their last Impact match together was a Hardcore Match at Bound For Glory 2014, where they defeated Tommy Dreamer and Abyss (Chris Park). In December 2016, they worked a Fatal 4 Way at House of Glory’s HOG VI show, which saw Santana and Ortiz emerge as the winners.

The 1000th episode of Impact is scheduled to air on Thursday, September 14 as the post-Victory Road edition. The special episode will be taped on Saturday, September 9 at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY. Additional episodes will also be taped that night to lead up to Bound For Glory. The 2023 Victory Road pay-per-view will take place the day before at the same venue.

As part of the Impact 1000 celebrations, a Fan Celebration event will be held on Saturday from 11am – 3pm at the Westchester County Center. Fans attending the Saturday taping will have free admission to the Fan Celebration, which will include Q&A sessions, meet & greet opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and the chance to have a photo taken with an official Impact title belt. The event will conclude with a live Q&A session featuring Busted Open’s Dave LaGreca.

Team 3D joins a roster of current and former wrestlers set to appear at the Impact 1000 episode fan event, including The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky, Angelina Love), Awesome Kong, ODB, D’Lo Brown, Tommy Dreamer, Impact World Champion Alex Shelley, Josh Alexander, Deonna Purrazzo, Brian Myers, Sami Callihan, and Eddie Edwards.

Although D-Von officially retired after their December 2016 match, Bully Ray has continued to wrestle and is currently a top heel in Impact. He recently defeated Black Taurus in a No DQ match.

Team 3D, who were inducted into the Impact Hall of Fame in 2014, have an impressive list of accomplishments. They are the inaugural and former two-time Impact World Tag Team Champions, one-time former NWA World Tag Team Champions, eight-time former ECW World Tag Team Champions, two-time former IWGP Tag Team Champions, one-time former WCW Tag Team Champions, one-time former WWE Tag Team Champions, and eight-time former WWE World Tag Team Champions. They have also held numerous indie titles throughout their careers.
