Mustafa Ali, the free agent, will be making a significant announcement on tonight’s WWE NXT episode. Ali took to Twitter earlier this week, inviting fans to join him on tonight’s show for a “very important announcement,” without providing any further details.
Ali made his return to NXT in June and marked his comeback with a victory over Joe Gacy in his first match back. He then teamed up with Wes Lee and Tyler Bate to defeat Gacy and The Dyad and later secured a singles win over Bate. This led to a Triple Threat match for the NXT North American Title at The Great American Bash, where Dominik Mysterio emerged victorious, defeating Ali and former champion Lee to capture the title. Ali was back in action on last week’s show, where he defeated Axiom.
Following his win over Axiom last week, Ali announced his campaign to become the next NXT North American Champion, stating that he wants it and the fans want it. It is highly likely that tonight’s announcement will be related to Ali’s pursuit of Mysterio’s NXT North American Title.
