Breaking News: AEW Full Gear 2023 Reveals Jaw-Dropping Venue, Epic Date, and Unexpected Scheduling Twist

AEW Full Gear 2023: Venue, Date, and Scheduling Conflict – According to a report from Fightful Select, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is reportedly planning to hold its traditional November pay-per-view, Full Gear 2023, at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. The current date listed on internal calendars is Saturday, November 18.

There’s uncertainty about AEW’s plans for the Collision event that night if Full Gear is scheduled for a Saturday. Initially, Full Gear was discussed for Sunday, November 19. However, this date raised concerns due to a home game of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars against the Tennessee Titans on the same day. Historically, AEW has avoided scheduling pay-per-view events on Sundays to prevent competing with other AEW events. AEW President Tony Khan has expressed his desire not to clash with his other commitments, including his role as Chief Football Strategy Officer for the Jaguars, owned by his father, Shahid Khan.

The proposed plan for the Full Gear go-home edition of Dynamite is set for Wednesday, November 15 in Ontario, California.

If the November 18 date stands, it would be two weeks after WWE’s next Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia and one week before the 2023 Survivor Series show in Chicago.

It’s important to note that AEW has not officially announced details for Full Gear, and the plans are subject to change. The history of Full Gear events includes the 2022 edition held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, where MJF became the AEW World Champion by defeating Jon Moxley. The 2021 Full Gear was held at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, featuring Adam Page winning the AEW World Title from Kenny Omega. In 2020, the show took place at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, with Jon Moxley retaining his AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston in an “I Quit” match. The inaugural Full Gear was held in 2019 at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, featuring Jon Moxley’s victory over Kenny Omega in an Unsanctioned Lights Out main event.
