Deonna Purrazzo will be defending her Knockouts Championship against Trinity in the highly-anticipated main event of this Saturday’s IMPACT Slammiversary pay-per-view. The announcement was made during the IMPACT Press Pass media call, which featured both the champion and the challenger as guests.
IMPACT play-by-play commentator Tom Hannifan revealed that the women’s championship match will headline IMPACT’s biggest show of the summer. The 2023 Impact Slammiversary pay-per-view is set to take place on Saturday, July 15, at the St. Clair College Sportsplex in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Fans can catch the thirty-minute Countdown To Slammiversary pre-show live and for free at 7:30 pm ET on FITE, Impact Plus, and YouTube. The pre-show will build anticipation for the main card, which features an exciting lineup of matches.
In addition to the Knockouts Championship match, the Impact World Title will also be on the line as Nick Aldis challenges Alex Shelley for the championship. The X-Division Title will be up for grabs in a match between Lio Rush and Chris Sabin. And the Impact World Tag Team Titles will be decided in a Fatal 4-Way match featuring Subculture, Moose and Brian Myers, Rich Swann and Sami Callihan, and ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey).
The Knockouts World Tag Team Titles will be defended as Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly take on The Coven (KiLynn King and Taylor Wilde). The event will also feature an Ultimate X Match, where Mike Bailey, KUSHIDA, Kevin Knight, Angels, and Jonathan Gresham will battle it out for a future X-Division Title shot.
There will also be a special tag team match pitting Bully Ray and Deaner against Scott D’Amore and a partner yet to be announced. NHL Legend Darren McCarty will serve as the Special Enforcer for this match. Eddie Edwards will face off against Frankie Kazarian, and Alisha Edwards will be in Eddie’s corner while Traci Brooks supports Kazarian.
The Countdown To Slammiversary pre-show will feature a match for the Impact Digital Media Title, with Kenny King challenging Joe Hendry for the championship. Additionally, Jody Threat & Death Dollz will take on Gisele Shaw, Jai Vidal & Savannah Evans in a tag team match during the pre-show.
