Dominik Mysterio: WWE’s MVP of 2023?
Dominik Mysterio has quickly made a name for himself in the world of professional wrestling. The NXT North American Champion has caught the attention of fans and industry veterans alike, with some even considering him to be the MVP of WWE for the year 2023.
In a recent episode of his “Hall Of Fame” podcast, WWE Hall of Fame legend and NXT commentator Booker T praised Mysterio for his contributions to WWE NXT and his ability to generate heat from the crowd.
“Dominik Mysterio has had a hell of a year as far as being a heel and a guy that the fans really despise, being a guy that the fans want to come to the arena and pay a ticket to despise,” Booker T said. “He’s done a hell of a job on the main roster as well as coming to NXT and spicing that game up a whole lot. What he’s done for NXT, I don’t see anybody else doing a better job than what Dom has done.”
Booker T went on to express his belief that Mysterio could be considered one of the top five candidates for the MVP of the year, stating, “I truly believe that you could put five guys in the WWE as far as MVP of the year, and Dom could be one of those names, and I really believe, at the end of that poll, Dominik would be the MVP of 2023, bar none.”
Booker T praised Mysterio’s ability to captivate the audience both in and out of the ring. He commended Mysterio for his unorthodox yet effective wrestling style, stating, “He has all of those elements to where it may not be traditional, but it’s right, every single freaking time. That’s what I love about watching Dominik do his work in the ring and like I said, what he’s done outside the ring, it hasn’t been a whole lot at all, but it’s definitely make you feel something.”
Mysterio’s ability to generate a strong reaction from the crowd was also highlighted by Booker T, who pointed out that while fans may not remember his promos, they certainly remember the boos. This, according to Booker T, is what makes Mysterio a true performer.
