Blair Davenport Emerges Victorious in Iron Survivor Challenge

The Iron Survivor Challenge made its return at tonight’s (Sat., Dec. 9, 2023) NXT Deadline premium live event in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with both the men and the women getting their time in the complicated gimmick match. The women got to go first.

A reminder of the rules:

Fallon Henley and Blair Davenport got the match started and failed to score a fall during their five minutes alone. Tiffany Stratton was the third entrant. The first fall of the match came when Davenport pinned Henley, sending her to the penalty box. Shortly after, Kelani Jordan made her way in. Naturally, Henley came out of the box like a bat out of hell, running through Stratton and scoring a fall of her own on Stratton.

That meant Lash Legend was the last one in. She did something interesting very shortly into her time in the match — she pinned both Henley and Stratton at the same time. For doing so, she was awarded two points while those two were put in the penalty box.

Davenport managed to tie it after taking advantage of Jordan getting kicked all around and about and Henley and Stratton taking each other out of the picture.

Time was ticking away at this point. With just two minutes to go, Stratton managed to get on the board by pinning Legend. That put her in the box for 90 seconds, in a match still tied at 2. With just 15 seconds remaining, Davenport pinned Henley. She then ran like hell when Legend was let out of the box, ensuring she could not be caught.

And that gave her the victory.

Your Iron Survivor: Blair Davenport.

After, she grabbed a microphone and reminded us she gets her shot at Lyra Valkyria at New Year’s Evil. The women’s champion actually came out to have a little staredown but Cora Jade made her return just after and left the champ laid out, holding her title up above her head.

The entire main event scene in the women’s division just flipped on its head.
