There is exciting news in the world of professional wrestling as the WWE NXT Global Heritage Invitational is set to kick off next Tuesday. This eight-man tournament will feature Superstars from around the world competing for a chance to challenge Noam Dar and his NXT Heritage Cup at No Mercy in late September.

As of now, six participants have been announced for the tournament. In Group A, we have Tyler Bate and Butch representing England, Charlie Dempsey representing the United States, and one more competitor yet to be revealed. In Group B, we have Joe Coffey representing Scotland, Duke Hudson representing Australia, Nathan Frazer representing Jersey in the Channel Islands, and another participant yet to be announced.

The tournament will follow a Round Robin-style format, with two groups of four Superstars each. Matches will have a time limit of 12 minutes, and a pinfall or submission victory will earn the wrestler 2 points. A draw will earn 1 point. The winner of Group A will face the winner of Group B on the September 26 episode of NXT, with the victor becoming the new number one contender for the NXT Heritage Cup Championship. The title match will take place at the NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event in Bakersfield, CA on September 30.

While the matches for the tournament’s kickoff episode on Tuesday have not been announced yet, fans can expect an action-packed night. In addition to the NXT Global Heritage Invitational, there are two other exciting matches scheduled. The Creed Brothers will face off against The Dyad in a Steel Cage match, with the stipulation that if The Creeds win, they will be reinstated to NXT. Plus, Blair Davenport, Gigi Dolin, Kiana James, and Roxanne Perez will compete in a match to determine the new number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship, currently held by Tiffany Stratton.
