Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins Pay Tribute to Bray Wyatt in Emotional Raw Moment

Filed under:

The world of professional wrestling continues to mourn the loss of Windham “Bray Wyatt” Rotunda, who tragically passed away at the age of 36 last week. While his absence was not the main focus of the August 28th episode of Raw, his spirit was still felt throughout the show.

Last Friday’s SmackDown paid tribute to Wyatt, and WWE carried on with new memorials during this week’s Raw. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, two prominent WWE superstars, honored their late friend in a heartfelt manner.

Rollins, the current World Heavyweight champion, opened his promo wearing an armband with the name “Windham” on it, a tribute to Wyatt. He also had a Fiend-inspired sideplate on his championship belt, paying homage to Wyatt’s alter ego.

Lynch, Rollins’ wife, wore a “Bray” armband during her main event match. As she celebrated her victory over Zoey Stark, Lynch raised her armband to the crowd and the heavens, visibly emotional.

After Raw went off the air, Lynch took the opportunity to share a touching story about her friend Windham with the Memphis crowd. She expressed how much they all miss him and mentioned that it helps to know how loved he was.

These tributes from Rollins and Lynch demonstrate the impact that Wyatt had on his fellow WWE superstars. His unique character and storytelling abilities resonated with both fans and colleagues, making his loss deeply felt throughout the wrestling community.

As the wrestling world continues to remember Bray Wyatt, it is clear that his legacy will live on. His contributions to the industry, both in and out of the ring, have left an indelible mark. The empty rocking chair, a symbol synonymous with Wyatt’s character, will forever evoke memories of the three-time World champion.

While the loss of Wyatt is undoubtedly heartbreaking, it is heartwarming to see the wrestling community come together to honor his memory. These tributes serve as a reminder of the camaraderie and support that exists within the industry.
