Baron Corbin is on a mission to capture the NXT championship, and his target is Ilja Dragunov. The Lone Wolf has been relentless in his pursuit of the gold, and his actions have put him at odds with the Mad Dragon.
After Dragunov won the title from Carmelo Hayes at No Mercy, Corbin made it clear that he was coming for the championship. He then attacked Dragunov after his Halloween Havoc rematch with Hayes. And just recently, Corbin took advantage of a post-match beatdown to deliver a devastating blow to the champion.
Dragunov has labeled Corbin’s actions as a “grave mistake” and has warned him that he will have to face the consequences in their upcoming title match at Deadline.
The stage is now set for an epic showdown between Dragunov and Corbin for the NXT championship at the upcoming premium live event in Bridgeport, Connecticut on December 9.
But that’s not all that fans have to look forward to at Deadline. The event will also feature an Iron Survivor Challenge for both the women’s division and the men’s division. Tiffany Stratton will face off against Lash Legend and three other competitors in the women’s challenge, while Dijak and Trick Williams will be joined by three other participants in the men’s challenge.
