Back On: WWE Considers WrestleMania Appearance For Injured Star

That would be a special one. There are a lot of pieces that come together to make WrestleMania feel like a major event and one of them is the WrestleMania Moment. These are the special times that feel like they could only take place at WrestleMania and WWE promotes them as much as possible. Now WWE might be planning for something that could come close to being such a thing.

On March 11, 2022, Big E. suffered a broken neck in a tag match on SmackDown. While SmackDown has made a few appearances at WWE functions, he has not appeared on a WWE event. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE had at one point booked a New Day segment for WrestleMania 39, though this was before Kofi Kingston had to undergo ankle surgery. There is no word on if the segment will still be included.

New Day has a long history at WrestleMania. Check out some of the better moments:

Opinion: This would be a cool moment, if nothing else just to see the team together again. That being said, it might be better for the team to be more healed up. With Kingston’s leg likely in a cast and Big E. not sure if he will ever wrestle again, that leaves Xavier Woods as the only active member. That isn’t much to go on, and it might be better to wait for everything to get a bit better.

What do you think of the idea? Would you want to see the team together again at the moment? Let us know in the comments below.
