Riho Set to Make AEW Return in Winter is Coming Match

AEW Dynamite: Riho Returns and Chris Jericho’s Comeback

AEW Dynamite: Riho Returns and Chris Jericho’s Comeback

Riho made her surprise return to AEW earlier this week on Dynamite in a post-match angle where she immediately took the fight to current AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm.

Riho is the first woman to ever hold that title, so it was all a pretty clear setup for a future championship match between Riho and Storm. Before we get there, though, Riho will have a tuneup match next Wednesday (Dec. 13) at this year’s Winter is Coming episode of Dynamite. AEW announced it will be Riho versus Ruby Soho in a one-on-one match.

Speaking of returns, Chris Jericho will also be back on Dynamite at Winter is Coming. After Chris was injured by Big Bill and Ricky Starks backstage at Full Gear, and Kenny Omega was ambushed by Big Bill tonight on Collision, the Golden Jets will have the mic in their hands to get something off their chest at Winter is Coming. Will the AEW world tag team championship match of Starks & Bill vs. The Golden Jets finally get a date?

While you’re mulling all of that over, check out the updated card for this year’s Winter is Coming event that is set to take place at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas. There are no title matches to be found on what has historically been one of AEW’s most hyped Dynamite episodes of the year.

Winter is Coming Card:

  • Continental Classic: Jon Moxley vs. Swerve Strickland
  • Continental Classic: Rush vs. Jay Lethal
  • Continental Classic: Mark Briscoe vs. Jay White
  • Riho vs. Ruby Soho
  • Hangman Page vs. Roderick Strong
  • The Von Erich family will return to Dallas
  • We’ll hear from Samoa Joe
  • We’ll hear from The Golden Jets
