AEW Rampage Results for December 8, 2023

Tonight’s episode of AEW RAMPAGE was broadcast from the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC!

The AEW International Championship Match featured “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy (c.) (with Danhausen & FTW Champion HOOK) against Angelico (with Serpentico). The match started with a chain wrestling sequence, followed by Cassidy loading up for the Orange Punch. Angelico rolled to the outside to regroup, but Cassidy chased after him. Back in the ring, Angelico targeted Cassidy’s hip with a punt kick, trying to weaken him. However, Cassidy fought back with his signature moves like the Stun Dog Millionaire and the Beach Break. Despite interference from Serpentico, Cassidy managed to secure the win with an Orange Punch.

In another match, Abadon faced Trish Adora. Abadon dared Adora to strike them in the face, and Adora didn’t back down. However, Abadon shrugged off Adora’s strikes and dominated the match. Abadon delivered a knee strike and a series of punches before finishing off Adora with the Black Diamond for the victory. The post-match segment saw TBS Champion Julia Hart appearing in the ring behind Abadon. Hart placed her title down, drawing a battle line. Abadon picked up the title, but when the lights went out and came back on, Hart and the title were gone.

The Don Callis Family, consisting of “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita & Powerhouse Hobbs, took on “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal. Hobbs showcased his power by body slamming Daniels halfway across the ring. Takeshita and Sydal exchanged strikes and counters, with Hobbs eventually pinning Daniels after a spinebuster. The match was followed by a backstage interview with Action Andretti and Top Flight, who accepted Penta’s challenge and promised to step up and deliver.

The main event of the evening was a Continental Classic Blue League Match between Blackpool Combat Club’s “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia. Garcia showed his technical prowess, but Danielson’s experience and aggression proved to be too much. After a hard-fought battle, Danielson locked in the LeBell Lock, causing Garcia to pass out and giving Danielson the victory. The commentators noted that Danielson would have to face Andrade El Idolo in less than 24 hours.

Don’t miss the upcoming AEW events. AEW DYNAMITE: Winter Is Coming will be live on TBS next Wednesday from the College Park Center in Arlington, TX. AEW Collision, featuring matches like Bryan Danielson vs. Andrade El Idolo and “All Ego” Ethan Page vs. Kenny Omega, will take place on Saturday on TNT from the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC.
