Live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada! Tonight’s show is sponsored by WOOOO ENERGY, baby. Taz, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone are on commentary and we’re starting with some Gold League action.
Match #1: Continental Classic Gold League: Jon Moxley (6) vs. Rush (3)
Face-to-face now as both guys exchange overhand chops. Leg kicks and knees by Moxley but he runs into an overhead belly-to-belly. Fight spills to the outside where Rush beats on Moxley and then both men battle through the crowd. Moxley breaks the count and throws Rush into the guard rail before the fight spills throughout the floor section, and Rush hits Moxley in the face with a beer can. Moxley runs to the ring and breaks the count. Rush teases the Bull’s Horns and punts Moxley in the face. TRANQUILO. Moxley flips off Rush but eats a snap powerslam. Two count. Rush taunts the crowd but Moxley catches him with an Ace Crusher out of nowhere. Lariats by Moxley in the corner. Rush seated on the top turnbuckle now and Moxley brings him crashing down to the mat with a superplex. Two count. Rush catches Moxley’s stomps and both men trade elbows as they spill to the apron, and floor. Rush sends Moxley into the guardrail with an overhead belly-to-belly. Rush wants a count out win but Moxley breaks the count before the ten. Moxley back in control with a big throw, as Rush seems to be favoring his ankle. Stalling piledriver by Rush after a failed straightjacket piledriver. Superplex off the top by Rush gets a long two count. Moxley sends Rush to the floor and follows with a suicide dive. Both guys barely beat the ten-count and we’re trading elbos in the center of the right once again. Rush eats a lariat but doesn’t move and responds with a discus elbow, sending Moxley to the corner. Bull’s Horns but Moxley gets up and meets him with an elbow. Double elbows. More elbows. Chops by Rush, before attempting Bull’s Horns yet again, but Moxley DRILLS him with a King Kong lariat. Death Rider! One, two, no! Bulldog Choke by Moxley before transitioning to a rear naked chok and Rush eventually goes out!
