Charlotte Flair gears up to take on Asuka this Friday on SmackDown

The Queen has some choice words for the Empress of Tomorrow ahead of their match this week on Smackdown.

When all is said and done, history may prove that Charlotte Flair was the only person who was ready for Asuka. This week, on a special Tribute to the Troops edition of SmackDown, Flair will attempt to prove that’s still true when she battles the Empress of Tomorrow in another chapter in their long rivalry.

“You know, regardless of whether Asuka is with Damage CTRL or not. I have all the love and respect for Asuka,” said Flair on the SmackDown Lowdown, “But at the end of the day, I still have her number.”

Flair didn’t hesitate to add that whether it’s old Asuka or new Asuka, the result will continue to be the same, and that’s with Flair coming out on top.

At the Survivor Series, The Queen picked up another win over Asuka, but in War Games in team competition. Still, in big match situations one-on-one, Flair is Asuka’s kryptonite.

At WrestleMania 34 in 2018, Flair ended Asuka’s nearly 1,000-day streak of going undefeated in WWE and NXT to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Afterward, Asuka said that she was glad that Flair defeated her.
