Randy Orton Officially Joins SmackDown Roster

Randy Orton Returns to Friday Night SmackDown and Signs with SmackDown

Randy Orton made his return to Friday Night SmackDown this week and it seemed obvious he was heading to Brooklyn to get a piece of The Bloodline. After all, he made it clear on Monday Night Raw that was his plan.

He wants every single one of them.

However, WWE had something different in mind. Instead of a confrontation with The Bloodline, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce both wrote up contracts and had themselves a bidding war for Orton’s services.

Pearce promised the winner of Seth Rollins vs. Jey Uso for the world heavyweight championship.

Aldis promised he could get after The Bloodline exactly the way Randy Orton so badly wants to.

Paul Heyman hit the scene to say they would make the decision for him, with Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso rushing in to put the boots to Orton. LA Knight made the save, drawing Sikoa away, and that gave Randy the chance to have his way with Jimmy.

Then, the decision:

He’s signing with SmackDown.

After telling Heyman he can inform Roman Reigns of this new development, Aldis got in the ring to celebrate with Orton. Because Randy is still Randy, he hit him with an RKO out of nowhere.

Daddy’s back indeed.
