Noam Dar retains the NXT Heritage Cup against Chad Gable via draw
The NXT Heritage Cup remains with Noam Dar and The Meta-Four, but not without some controversy.
After a scoreless round one, Dar stole round two thanks to a sneaky kick from Oro Mensah and a subsequent Nova Roller. Gable knotted the contest up at one apiece thanks to a rolling German suplex in round five.
In the waning moments of round six, Gable locked in an Ankle Lock, but Dar tapped out just after the bell rang, ensuring that the Heritage Cup wouldn’t change hands.
Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo def. Malik Blade & Edris Enofé
In a matchup with championship implications, Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo rose to the occasion and knocked off Malik Blade and Edris Enofé.
Garza and Carrillo managed to neutralize Blade and isolate Enofé, ultimately nailing Enofé with a devastating tandem press/kick combo.
Josh Briggs def. Carmelo Hayes – Iron Survivor Qualifying Match
In a stunner, Josh Briggs defeated Carmelo Hayes to punch his ticket to NXT Deadline for a spot in the Iron Survivor Match.
Hayes was poised to hit Melo Don’t Miss, but Lexis King appeared and distracted the former NXT Champion, allowing Briggs to hit a massive lariat and a gravity-defying moonsault to shock Hayes and the NXT Universe.
