Sting’s Tag Team Extravaganza Confirmed for AEW’s Epic Two-Hour Rampage Grand Slam

All Elite Wrestling

Christian Cage made a bold challenge on this week’s episode of Dynamite, opting to skip mocking Nick Wayne’s deceased father. Instead, he issued a rematch challenge to Nick’s mentor Darby Allin and Allin’s mentor Sting, with one change. This time, Cage would team up with his only friend in the world, Luchasaurus, instead of filling in for AR Fox as Swerve Strickland’s partner. The rematch was initially set for Grand Slam but was not included in the lineup for the Dynamite edition of the show at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York.

However, it was confirmed on Rampage last night (Sept. 15) that the rematch will take place on the next Friday’s edition of the show, which will be taped after the September 20 show in NYC. Additionally, it was revealed that, like the first two Rampage Grand Slams, the September 22 episode will be two hours long.

While Christian & Luchasaurus vs. Sting & Darby won’t fill the entire two-hour timeslot, no other matches have been confirmed for next Friday’s double-sized show. However, AEW laid the groundwork for a potential match between Mogul Embassy members Brian Cage & Gates of Agony and Hangman Page & The Young Bucks.

The Mogul Embassy has some unfinished business with Hangman Adam Page and The Young Bucks, and they have issued a grand challenge!
